The Scots Under 10 Program is designed to highlight accomplishments and contributions to society by our most recent alumni from 糖心Vlog传媒. These emerging leaders, in their professions, their communities, and/or in service to the College, have demonstrated the graduate qualities as established by the faculty and have fulfilled 糖心Vlog传媒鈥檚 mission.
The inaugural cohort for 2025 includes:
Oberlin College Oberlin College Title: Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry Bailey Bowers, class of 2017, received her B.S. in chemistry from 糖心Vlog传媒 and continued her education at Carnegie Mellon University, where she earned a Ph.D. in chemistry. Bailey’s ability to inspire the next generation of scientists has been evident ever since her time as a STEM tutor here at the college. Bailey continues to share that same passion with her students today. As an assistant professor of chemistry at Oberlin College, Bailey is dedicated to shaping students into future leaders. Her impact goes beyond the classroom. Working alongside students, Bailey challenges them to consider the broader impact chemistry has on society, specifically the environment. Recognition Year: 2025 World Monuments Fund World Monuments Fund Title: Information and Digital Asset Manager Annelisea Brand, class of 2021, earned her B.A. in anthropology from 糖心Vlog传媒 before obtaining her master鈥檚 in museum anthropology from Columbia University. Following her time at Columbia, she joined the World Monuments Fund, where she currently serves as the information and digital asset manager. Her strong sense of civic and social responsibility can be seen through her passion to protect, preserve, and promote culturally significant monuments across the globe. Annelisea鈥檚 dedication to partnering with diverse communities, cultures, and people reflects her deep commitment to lifelong learning and global engagement. Recognition Year: 2025 KAZU Title: Reporter/Producer Ngozi Cole, class of 2015, received a B.A. in history from 糖心Vlog传媒, followed by a master’s in journalism from Columbia University. Currently, Ngozi is a reporter and producer for 90.3 Kazu, covering stories and breaking news across Central California. Throughout her career, Ngozi has utilized her background in journalism to amplify the voices and concerns of underserved communities facing housing and healthcare crises across the U.S. and abroad. Her outstanding communication skills and dedication to social responsibility have been integral to uplifting communities that are often overlooked and underrepresented. Recognition Year: 2025 World Health Organization World Health Organization Title: Emergency Officer Ding Feng, class of 2016, graduated with a B.A. in international relations and continued his education at the Geneva Graduate Institute, where he later received a master鈥檚 in development studies. Ding currently serves as an emergency officer for the World Health Organization, but his determination to make a larger global impact began during his undergrad when he interned at the United Nations in China. Since graduating, Ding has worked to address complex and pressing health and refugee crises facing communities across the globe. From Lebanon and Ethiopia to Sudan and Afghanistan, Ding鈥檚 commitment to global health extends beyond borders as he continues to navigate the interdependent and interconnected world in which we live. Recognition Year: 2025 Tulane University Tulane University Title: Assistant Director for Student Governance MeMe Goodwin, class of 2018, graduated with a B.A. in women鈥檚, gender, and sexuality studies and is currently pursuing a master鈥檚 in liberal arts from Tulane University. President, Treasurer, and Teaching Fellow. MeMe thrived in these leadership roles here at the college and quickly found her passion for supporting student leadership initiatives at the Posse Foundation. Today, MeMe serves as the Assistant Director of Student Governance at Tulane, where she takes an integrative and collaborative approach by working directly alongside the 200 Posse students she oversees. Through her dynamic understanding of the Liberal Arts and student leadership, Meme is developing the future leaders of tomorrow. Recognition Year: 2025 State of Colorado State of Colorado Title: Senior Economist & Long Range Financial Planning Analyst Emily Hrovat, class of 2016, graduated with a B.A. in women鈥檚, gender and sexuality studies and received her PhD in economics from Colorado State University. As a senior economist & long range financial planning analyst for the state of Colorado, Emily utilizes her extensive knowledge of economic principles to analyze research and create projections to ensure long term financial stability across the state鈥檚 budgets. Thanks to Emily鈥檚 commitment to addressing the state鈥檚 evolving economy and budgets, she has created a more promising and sustainable future for the state of Colorado and its constituents. Recognition Year: 2025 Lake Development Authority Lake Development Authority Title: Executive Director Patrick Mohorcic, class of 2018, graduated with a B.A. in political science and earned a master鈥檚 in public financial management from Cleveland State University. At 糖心Vlog传媒, Patrick was a leader, an APEX Fellow, Tour Guide, and Captain of the Football Team. Now, Patrick is a leader for Lake County, Ohio where he leverages his roles as Executive Director of Lake Development Authority and City Councilman to drive business development and economic growth. Additionally, Patrick serves on the board of numerous non-profits that invest in leadership and workforce development programs. Through these initiatives, Patrick鈥檚 impact extends beyond economic development and invests directly in the people of Lake County. Recognition Year: 2025 EIT Culture & Creativity EIT Culture & Creativity Title: Business Development Manager Susannah Montgomery, class of 2015, received a B.A. in religious studies and sociology and went on to earn her master鈥檚 in arts policy and administration from The Ohio State University. As a business development manager at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology鈥檚 Culture & Creativity branch, Susannah uses art and technology to explore the various challenges facing today鈥檚 society. For example, Susannah created an exhibit that examined how the intersectionality of technology, communication, and media can influence politics and shape democracy. Throughout her career, Susannah has utilized her dynamic and interdisciplinary liberal arts education to create transformative art that takes a new approach to how we understand and address society鈥檚 most pressing issues. Recognition Year: 2025 U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York Title: Judicial Law Clerk Lincoln Plews, class of 2015, graduated with a B.A. in international relations and later received a JD from Harvard Law School. Throughout his career, Lincoln has always found a way to make a difference in the world around him, whether it be teaching students in China, creating discourse around sustainability, or mitigating cybercrime and fraud. His passion for impact and change has taken him around the world and has now landed him in New York City. Now, Lincoln serves as a Judicial Law Clerk at the U.S. District Court. Whether he is conducting extensive research, reviewing cases, or assisting judges, Lincoln is making an impact every day by supporting one of our nation鈥檚 most essential systems. Recognition Year: 2025 Freedom of the Press Foundation Freedom of the Press Foundation Title: Senior Reporter, U.S. Press Freedom Tracker Stephanie graduated with a B.A. in international relations and anthropology and later received a master’s in both journalism and international relations from New York University. Stephanie has traveled all over the world, from Serbia to Bosnia to Kosovo, igniting a passion to use her voice to cover human rights and identity politics. By immersing herself in the field, Stephanie has learned multiple languages and gained an authentic understanding of the cultures and communities she reports on. Today, Stephanie has shifted her focus to U.S. politics and is serving as a Senior Reporter at Freedom of the Press Foundation in New York City. Recognition Year: 2025 Destination Cleveland Destination Cleveland Title: Sr. Social Media Manager Gabe graduated with a B.A. in political science and earned his master鈥檚 in business from Case Western Reserve University. After receiving his masters, Gabe began working as a creative services coordinator for a major league baseball team. When COVID hit and stadiums closed, Gabe took this as an opportunity to challenge himself and try something new. His goal? Post one picture every day. And so began his passion for capturing life鈥檚 precious moments. Now, as a Senior Manager of Social Media for Destination Cleveland, Gabe uses his talent to promote Cleveland. He communicates Cleveland鈥檚 unique cultures, communities, and traditions, through his photography, providing a glimpse into all that this amazing city has to offer. Recognition Year: 2025
