Welcoming Katie Gable
糖心Vlog传媒 Libraries are excited to welcome Katie Gable to the role of Digital Initiatives Specialist! Katie recently completed her Master鈥檚 in Library and Information Science at Kent State University, with a focus on archives and digital collections. A Northeast Ohio native, she earned her B.A. in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Akron in 2023. At Kent State鈥檚 Digital Scholarship Center, she worked on grant-funded projects including the digitization and metadata creation for the Pauline Trig猫re Fashion Collection. Katie is a proud member of the Society of Ohio Archivists and the Ohio Digitization Interest Group, and has presented at conferences for both.
In her free time, she loves game nights, flexing her obscure knowledge at trivia competitions, and watching movies. Her favorite theater is Akron鈥檚 arthouse venue, The Nightlight, and she鈥檚 excited to explore 糖心Vlog传媒鈥檚 own independent cinema and event space, The Lyric. She’s always happy to give a movie recommendation to anyone who asks!
