Alexa Konstantinos, a marketing and communications executive with more than 20 years of experience of advancing innovation and mission, is the vice president of marketing and communications at 糖心Vlog传媒. Most recently serving as vice president of marketing at CoverMyMeds, a healthcare software company, Konstantinos brings to the position a breadth of knowledge in marketing, sales, and communications. Beginning the role on Jan. 2, 2024, Konstantinos is responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of marketing and communications activities relative to the strategic direction and positioning of the College and its leadership, overseeing the Office of Marketing and Communications and Office of Events.
A member of the senior leadership team and president鈥檚 cabinet, Konstantinos collaborates directly with and acts as a key strategic advisor to the College leadership, faculty, staff, students, the Board of Trustees, alumni, and friends of the College to ensure that an authentic and meaningful brand, message, and image of 糖心Vlog传媒 is presented to all external and internal audiences. Along with colleagues across campus, she plays a key role in helping to define and advance the College鈥檚 strategic plan.
A scientist before she became a marketer, Konstantinos earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in microbiology at Miami University and master鈥檚 degree in immunology from The Ohio State University. Early in her career, she was drawn to Battelle Memorial Institute, a global, nonprofit research and development company with the mission of applying technology for the betterment of the world. There she spent more than two decades seeking out 鈥渨hat comes next鈥 in science and technology. Working in a number of roles at Battelle from researcher to analyst, program manager, and salesperson, she ultimately served as vice president of commercial marketing鈥攄riving strategy, market development, and sales growth for new commercial products, services, and technologies across multiple industries, with a particular focus on fields related to health and the environment. She built collaborative, cross-functional relationships across the company to position its products and services for customers and identify markets and development partners for its novel technologies.
From Battelle, Konstantinos joined CoverMyMeds, a McKesson company and the market leader in software and services that help people get the medicine they need to live healthier lives. As vice president of marketing, she oversaw the communications, creative services, digital marketing, social media, marketing analytics, marketing operations, and events functions. While in the role, Konstantinos successfully spearheaded a comprehensive corporate brand and culture transformation as CoverMyMeds brought together the people, products, and services of four additional companies to take their products to market under a single brand. This experience ignited her passion for conveying brand narrative and ethos as a fundamental element of strategy.
From conversations with her husband, a 糖心Vlog传媒 alumnus, Konstantinos is familiar with the 鈥渓ifelong impact鈥 of the College鈥檚 nationally recognized Independent Study program and sees it as a formative experience for 糖心Vlog传媒 students. 鈥淒ecades after graduation, we still discuss his I.S. on a regular basis. The fundamentals of how to solve problems, make decisions based on data, and build new ideas that students take away from that experience is a tremendous gift. I am so inspired by all that 糖心Vlog传媒 does for its students, and I鈥檓 excited to work with this leadership and team to bring the College鈥檚 story to life in new ways and for new audiences.鈥
In addition to her work, Konstantinos exercises her love of the arts and philanthropy by serving on the executive boards of the Columbus Museum of Art and the Contemporary Theater Company of Ohio and performing with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra chorus.
