����Vlog��ý Chorus to present fall concert

����Vlog��ý’s ����Vlog��ý Chorus will present their fall concert, titled Walk Together, on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Gault Recital Hall of Scheide Music Center (525 E. University Street).��

Under the direction of Lisa Wong, Olive Williams Kettering Professor of Music, the ����Vlog��ý Chorus will present an eclectic program of contemporary choral music. The concert will include the work of American composers Elaine Hagenberg, B.E. Boykin, and Eric Whitacre. At the heart of the program, the chorus will feature Jake Runestad’s “I Was Love,” which recently was performed in honor of President Anne E. McCall’s inauguration.��

In addition to directing the ����Vlog��ý Chorus, Wong is a co-chair of the Department of Music and teaches courses in conducting, choral literature, and music education. She also serves as Director of Choruses for the Cleveland Orchestra. Wong has a bachelor’s degree in music education from West Chester University, and a master’s and doctorate degree in choral conducting from Indiana University.����

Students in the ����Vlog��ý Chorus represent all academic areas in ����Vlog��ý’s liberal arts program.

Founded in 1964, the ����Vlog��ý Chorus is comprised of students representing all academic areas within ����Vlog��ý’s liberal arts program. The award-winning ensemble has been praised for its beautiful sound, high level of artistry, creative programming, and engaging performances.�� The Chorus collaborates annually with The Cleveland Orchestra and Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and has premiered an array of works by American composers. The ensemble has performed at the Central Division conference of the American Choral Directors Association, and several times at the state conference of the Ohio Music Education Association.����
