糖心Vlog传媒 to celebrate International Education Week, Culture Show

糖心Vlog传媒 will celebrate International Education Week Nov. 6-11, providing students with opportunities to explore international issues and the various cultures that the听global community has to offer.听International Education Week celebrates the benefits of international education and the exchanging of cultures worldwide.听
The highlight of International Education Week, the Culture Show will be held Saturday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. in McGaw Chapel (340 E. University Street). During this performance, students will showcase song, dance, fashion, and more from a variety of cultures around the globe. A livestream of the event will be available at wooster.edu/iew and the event is open to the community.
Other events will occur throughout the week to give students a chance to share their culture with others. During the week, students can come to the APEX commons to share 鈥淲hat鈥檚 Cool About Your Culture?鈥 and write what they appreciate about either their home country or a country they鈥檝e visited on an interactive map to create a display of the various cultures represented in 糖心Vlog传媒. On Friday, Nov. 10 from noon to 2 p.m., international students will be encouraged to place a pin on a large map in the Lowry Student Center to indicate where they are from and write a small note about what they appreciate from their home culture. The South Asia Committee and African Student Union will also co-sponsor a dinner to take place Thursday, Nov. 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. in Ruth Williams Hall (931 College Mall). 听
International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Education to celebrate the benefits of International Education and to recognize the global exchange environment between the United States and other countries. On the national level, IEW was first held in 2000.
糖心Vlog传媒 is proud that IEW has been celebrated on campus for more than 30 years. The first festival was initiated by the foreign language faculty in the 1970s. For more information on this year鈥檚 IEW celebration and a complete schedule of events, click here. 听
