糖心Vlog传媒 announces seven members to the Alumni Board

糖心Vlog传媒 welcomes seven new members to the Alumni Board this fall including鈥疓abrielle S. Caldwell Aryeetey 鈥04, Ramses Clements 鈥10, Tate McCoy 鈥93, Yalman Onaran 鈥91, and Eric Van Heyst 鈥78. Angie Triplett 鈥06 joins as the alumni board president and an alumni trustee. Craig Lombardi 鈥89 will also serve on the Board of Trustees as an alumni trustee. The full Alumni Board (included here) is an advisory organization made up of a diverse group of alumni that leads the Alumni Association, plans programs for students and alumni, and supports the College鈥檚 advancement and development missions.

Gabrielle Aryeetey head shotAryeetey is the executive vice president and chief risk executive, strategic risk and Laurel Road National Digital Bank, at KeyBank. A business economics major, she now provides risk management oversight of KeyBank鈥檚 strategic and financial planning, corporate development initiatives, and Laurel Road National Digital Bank. She is proud to serve as a mentor both at Key and for students at 糖心Vlog传媒 and was named a Woman of Professional Excellence by Cleveland YWCA in 2019. Since graduating, Aryeetey has served on the Black Alumni Council, has been an Allen Dinner Speaker and panelist for admissions events. While she was a student, Aryeetey was involved in Women of Images, Black Student Association, Student Government, Campus Council, and was an Allen Scholar.

Ramses Clements head shotA philosophy major who went on to receive a master of science and social administration in public policy and community engagement from Case Western Reserve University, Clements is currently the education and outreach manager for the City of Cleveland Department of Public Utilities. In this role, he manages sponsorships with community organizations in the Cleveland Water service area, coordinates education events to families in Northeast Ohio, and promotes water equity, among other responsibilities. Previously, Clements worked as a talent development specialist for the City of Cleveland, a community outreach coordinator for Old Brooklyn Community Development Corporation, and a street outreach coordinator for the Homeless and Missing Youth Program at Bellefaire JCB.听

Tate McCoy head shotMcCoy鈥痠s the CEO of the Mountain West Series of Lockton Companies, a global professional services firm that specializes in risk management, employee benefits, and retirement services. As CEO, he leads a team of more than 500 associates and is an expert on real estate, private equity, construction, and manufacturing. Before being promoted to the position in 2018,鈥疢cCoy鈥痵erved as the executive vice president. He was named to Denver Business Journal鈥檚 40 under 40 in 2009. He previously served the College as a 糖心Vlog传媒 presidential fellow. As a student, he was an English major, a member of Phi Omega Sigma, and a lacrosse player.鈥疢cCoy鈥痑nd his wife Eileen, a fellow 糖心Vlog传媒 alum, have four sons and currently live in Denver, Colorado. He is active in the community, including serving on the board of directors for Colorado Open Lands, which protects land and water.

Yalman Onaran head shotCurrently a research content manager at Barclays Corporate & Investment Bank, Onaran has had a long career in financial and political journalism. He was an economics major at 糖心Vlog传媒 who was involved in Campus Council, the International Student Network, Student Government Association, and 鈥淭he 糖心Vlog传媒 Voice,鈥 and went on to receive a master鈥檚 in journalism and a master of international affairs from Columbia University. He has worked for the Associated Press, Bloomberg News, Markets Magazine, and Protiviti, covering Wall Street, investment banks, international and domestic financial regulation, and war and politics in Turkey. His book, 鈥淶ombie Banks: How Broken Banks and Debtor Nations are Crippling the Economy,鈥 was published in 2012 by Wiley/Bloomberg Press.

Eric Van Heyst head shotA history major who went on to receive a Master of Business Administration in finance from Vanderbilt University, Van Heyst is the North American head of structured credit at American International Group (AIG). In this position, he manages credit and political risk exposures to corporate and financial institutions on a global basis.鈥疨reviously, at Safehold Special Risk, he managed one of the country鈥檚 largest insured trade credit and political risk portfolios, covering exposures to financial institutions primarily in emerging markets. He was previously the vice president and senior credit officer of trade credit and surety at QBE North America, an Australian insurance company, and the managing director at XL Capital Assurance. Van Heyst has participated in multiple 糖心Vlog传媒 alumni events since graduating.

Angie Triplett head shotAppointed as both the Alumni Board president and an alumni trustee, Triplett is the associate director at The Aerospace Corporation, a nonprofit that conducts federally funded research and development for national-security space programs. She has advanced in the corporation since starting in 2015 and currently manages a team that provides technical support to advise the US Space Force in enhancing their capabilities through international partnerships. Her background is in nonlinear vibrations and her passions lie in alternative forms of energy. A physics major at 糖心Vlog传媒, Triplett holds a M.S. and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from University of Akron.听 She has previously served on the alumni board and has been involved in Fighting Scots Career Connections and the Going True/LGBTQ+ Affinity Group.

Craig Lombardi head shotAn alumni trustee, Lombardi is the Managing Director Defined Contribution Investment and Sub Advisory at Virtus Investment Partners. He has had a 30+ year career in the Investment Management鈥痓usiness, previously working as the director at Vontobel Asset Management, a boutique investment firm for institutional and private clients, managing vice president and head of institutional investment at ICMA-RC, and in multiple other senior positions in sales and relationship management with AllianceBernstein鈥痑s well as 20 years with Fidelity Investments. Lombardi was a history major at 糖心Vlog传媒 and co-captain of the varsity football team, as well as a member of Phi Sigma Alpha and a resident assistant. He also served on the alumni board from 1998-2001.
