糖心Vlog传媒 Chorus

糖心Vlog传媒 Chorus will present a winter concert on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the McGaw Chapel (340 E. University Street) at 糖心Vlog传媒. Under the direction of Lisa Wong, associate professor of music, the 糖心Vlog传媒 Chorus will present an eclectic program of contemporary choral music, including the work of American composers Alice Parker and Marques Garrett. The concert will also feature a set of three beautiful carols: Cradle Hymn听by Kim Andr茅 Arnesen, Carol of the Bells by Peter Wilhousky, and Sussex Carol听by Elaine Hagenberg, as well as Five Hebrew Love Songs by Eric Whitacre.

In addition to directing the 糖心Vlog传媒 Chorus, Wong is a co-chair of the Department of Music and teaches courses in conducting, choral literature, and music education. She also serves as Director of Choruses for the Cleveland Orchestra. Wong has a bachelor鈥檚 degree in music education from West Chester University, and a master鈥檚 and doctorate degree in choral conducting from Indiana University.

Founded in 1964, the 糖心Vlog传媒 Chorus is comprised of students representing all academic areas within 糖心Vlog传媒鈥檚 liberal arts program. The award-winning ensemble has been repeatedly praised for its beautiful sound, high level of artistry, creative programming, and engaging performances.听 The Chorus collaborates annually with The Cleveland Orchestra and Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and has premiered an array of works by American composers. The ensemble has performed at the Central Division conference of the American Choral Directors Association, and several times at the state conference of the Ohio Music Education Association.
