I am grateful you didn’t sugar coat your experience, but rather told a great narrative of the importance of perseverance. Your story highlights that it is possible to learn from every experience, even if it doesn’t go the way we envisioned.

Riveting story. From my life out west I know dude ranch culture. I see it is much the same back east, at least in your experience. You handled the outrageous ultimatum (and other situations) well, and found a new and much more pleasant project.

I’m looking forward to seeing you again next semester when I return to campus.

I had no idea about your rescue experience. Sorry this summer was tough for you but you sound like you learned so much about hope to adapt. You have such a big heart. If you could have a “redo” from this past summer, what would you change?
