Pre-Law Advising Program To Host Constitution Day Lecture on Sept. 14

����Vlog��ý Pre-Law Advising program will welcome Lisa Tetrault for a Constitution Day Lecture titled “When Women Won the Right to Vote: A History Unfinished” on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m.

The lecture is open to all. It can be accessed via this at that time.

Tetrault is an Associate Professor in the Carnegie Mellon University Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences. She specializes in the history of gender, race, and American democracy, with a focus on social movements and memory.

Tetrault is the author of The Myth of Seneca Falls: Memory and the Women’s Suffrage Movement (1848-1898), which won the Organization of American Historians’ inaugural May Jurich Nickliss women’s history book prize.

She is also at work on two additional book-length projects. The first, A Celebrated But Misunderstood Amendment, is a genealogy of the Nineteenth Amendment. The second is Enter Woman Suffrage: A New History of Reconstruction, 1865-1878, which investigates the broad and frequent debates about women’s voting.
