Thanks for your response! I’ve also been thinking a lot lately how a populist leader can also “clear the way” for a institutionalist leader to break with prior policies and dogma. This week’s announcement on Afghanistan is one present example of how, when an “institutionalist” come back into office, they often can take steps that would have been too big of a policy break at a prior time. Once again, thanks for the great research and congrats on finishing your IS!
