Thank you so much Burim! It was definitely an involved process to apply for the fellowship. You have to write essays on your goals for the experience and how you will accomplish them, as well as get recommenders from campus. I also had to communicate a lot with my host organization to figure out the finer details of my plan for the fellowship which had to be sorted out for the application. Finally, I also had to convey to APEX how I could do my internship remotely. I know some other students with fellowships worked on-site, and they also had to get approval from APEX to ensure that it would be safe. I think the major difficulties were in figuring out how to make the fellowship remote.
