糖心Vlog传媒 Introduces Six New Alumni Board Members

WOOSTER, Ohio 鈥 糖心Vlog传媒 is pleased to announce six new members of the Alumni Board 鈥 Sandeep Bhatia 鈥89, Ethan Flack 鈥14, Kate McCall-Kiley 鈥09, Alexander Kyerematen 鈥06, Chuck Nusbaum 鈥02, and Mike Riffee 鈥80. Their three-year term begins on July 1, with Bhatia serving as president-elect.
Bhatia, a native of Kolkata, India, who now calls Shaker Hts., Ohio, home, was an economics major at 糖心Vlog传媒 and currently serves as president of Om Consulting Group. His work for the last 15 years has focused on IT consulting with a concentration on gas, electric, and water utilities. Prior to that, he was employed at PwC, working with utilities clients at a number of areas across the U.S. Since graduating, Bhatia has been involved with a number of 糖心Vlog传媒 alumni volunteer activities, including the Alumni Board, Alumni Trustee, Cleveland Leadership, International Host Family, and Scots In Service.
Flack has enjoyed a diverse and worldly set of experiences in the six years since completing his bachelor鈥檚 degree as a political science major. First, he was selected to participate in a cultural exchange program (Japan Exchange and Teaching), teaching English at a high school in a Japanese fishing village, then went on to earn dual master鈥檚 degrees in international relations and public administration at Syracuse University while also enrolling in the Army鈥檚 Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). From 2017-20, he was on active duty, serving as an infantry officer and platoon leader at Fort Drum, N.Y. Today, he works for Amazon in the Chicago area as an operations manager.
McCall-Kiley is the co-founder and director of xD, an emerging technology lab within the federal government that strives to improve services through the research and application of artificial intelligence solutions. She previously was a White House Presidential Innovation Fellow the last 18 months of the Obama administration and spent four years with Booz Allen Hamilton, a technology consulting firm. In addition to majoring in philosophy at 糖心Vlog传媒, she holds a master鈥檚 degree in business administration from Johns Hopkins University and a master鈥檚 degree in design leadership from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
Kyerematen has been a regional director (Africa) for the Global Fund for Children for two years. He leads the non-profit organization鈥檚 grantmaking, capacity strengthening, integrated programming, and stakeholder engagement across Africa. This is his latest position during a decade鈥檚 worth of experience in strategic philanthropy, grant management, and consulting, which also includes time at Geneva Global, Inc. and Fidelity Bank Ghana, where he managed the disbursement of $120 million to support public-private partnership projects. An economics major at 糖心Vlog传媒, Kyerematen also earned a master鈥檚 degree in business administration from Hult International Business School.
Nusbaum, who double majored in computer science and Spanish at 糖心Vlog传媒, has worked in the technology field for a number of northeast Ohio firms, currently holding the title of operations manager at TravelCenters of America. He had spent a dozen years in various banking technology positions at National City Bank/PNC, including technology manager/assistant vice president. Nusbaum, who also completed a master鈥檚 degree in business administration from Baldwin Wallace University, is highly involved with the Boy Scouts of America, volunteering as a unit, council, and national leader.
Riffee is a recently retired teacher and coach at Worthington City Schools. A physical education major and three-sport letterwinner at 糖心Vlog传媒, Riffee鈥檚 teaching career began with Columbus City Schools where he taught adapted physical education and sixth grade in an elementary school serving students with learning disabilities and behavioral disorders for four years. He moved within the district to Centennial High School and was honored as its Educator of the Year in 1991. Riffee made his way to the Worthington district in 1997 as a middle school special education teacher and remained there until 2013. He has been a head coach in volleyball, football, and lacrosse, with the latter being his true passion, which all began with a coaching practicum at 糖心Vlog传媒. Riffee guided Worthington Kilbourne to a state lacrosse championship in 2009 as a head coach and continues to serve the program today as an assistant coach.
The Alumni Board, an elected advisory group of 糖心Vlog传媒鈥檚 Alumni Association, participates in meetings and a variety of activities to support current students, alumni, and the mission of the College.
