糖心Vlog传媒鈥檚 Percussion and African Diaspora Ensemble to Present Concert March 30

WOOSTER, Ohio 鈥 The Percussion Ensemble and African Diaspora Ensemble, both directed by Thomas Roblee, instructor of percussion at 糖心Vlog传媒, will present a concert in collaboration with students from West Liberty University, directed by Mitch Greco, on Saturday, March 30, at 4 p.m. The performance, which is free and open to the public, will be held in Gault Recital Hall of Scheide Music Center (525 E. University St.).
The concert will feature Christopher Rouse鈥檚 鈥淏onham,鈥 Bobby Moore鈥檚 鈥淪peaking in Tongues,鈥 and Mark Ford鈥檚 鈥淪tubernic,鈥 as well as traditional gyil and drumming from Ghana and marimba from Mexico.
Roblee works consistently with the Ghanaian dance troupe Saakumu, directing residencies that promote cultural exchange. He is also timpanist with the Tuscarawas Philharmonic and percussionist with the Ohio Light Opera Orchestra and 糖心Vlog传媒 Symphony Orchestra. He received a bachelor of music education degree from SUNY Fredonia and master of music performance degree from The University of Akron.
